Go to a hospital emergency department if you have swelling spreading to your eye or neck, trouble breathing or swallowing, uncontrolled bleeding, or a jaw or head injury.
Use this guide to decide how quickly you need help.
Emergency department
Same-day dental care
Soon, not urgent
Choose your problem for simple, safe steps to ease pain and protect the tooth until you see a dentist.
Call us if the pain lasts more than a day, wakes you at night, or comes with swelling or fever.
Call us immediately. A replanted adult tooth has the best chance of surviving if treated within the first hour.
Call us the same day if there's pain or you can see pink or red inside the tooth.
Call us today. Go to a hospital emergency department straight away if the swelling spreads to your eye or neck, or you have fever or trouble breathing or swallowing.
Book the next available slot. Call sooner if the tooth is painful or very sensitive.
Call us if bleeding hasn't slowed after an hour of firm pressure. If it's heavy and won't stop, go to a hospital.
Call your orthodontist at either clinic to book a quick adjustment.
Call us if you can't remove it or the gum stays sore.
This is general first-aid guidance to use until you can see a dentist. It isn't a substitute for treatment. If you're unsure, call us.
Knocked-out tooth
A knocked-out adult tooth can often be saved if it's put back within about an hour. Speed matters more than anything else.
A few simple things make any dental emergency easier to handle.

We check the problem and take a digital X-ray to find the cause.
Anaesthesia and treatment to stop the pain, with sedation available for anxious patients.
Root canal, splinting a knocked-out tooth, repairing a break, draining an abscess or re-cementing a crown.
Written aftercare and a plan for any permanent treatment, with a cost estimate.
Knocked-out teeth, toothache, swelling and timings.
Yes. Call either clinic and tell us what happened. We give you the earliest available slot and advise you on what to do until you arrive.
Pick it up by the crown, not the root. Rinse briefly in milk if dirty, try to put it back in the socket or keep it in milk, and see a dentist within 30–60 minutes.
Rinse with warm salt water, floss gently, use a cold pack on the cheek and take a painkiller you've used safely before. These give temporary relief only, so book a visit to treat the cause.
If swelling spreads to your eye or neck, you have trouble breathing or swallowing, a high fever, uncontrolled bleeding, or a jaw or head injury, go to the nearest hospital emergency department.
A broken tooth with pain, or with pink or red showing inside, should be seen the same day. A small painless chip can wait for the next available appointment.
Sector 45 is open 10:30 AM–2 PM and 4:30–8 PM. Palam Vihar is open 10:30 AM–2 PM and 4:30–7 PM. Both clinics are closed on Tuesdays.
